He swung back and forth just a bit to get a feel for how he was going to land, and then let himself drop. There was a bit of a lesson here too, though how transferrable it would be to a cat-like Cybertonian, he had no idea.
He landed on the balls of his feet, and then let the force spread out over his toes and heels. He kept his knees bent and his legs roughly shoulder width apart. It was still a fairly large drop, all things considered, so he leaned forward into the landing to touch down with his palms and let even more of the momentum dissipate. (He tried to explain most of this after the fact.)

She scurries up to the top of the building, then lands in Howlback's hands right next to Minoru, rubbing up on his knee like an actual cat.
